SunWise with SHADE Poster Contest: CALLING ALL KIDS!

Do you like drawing and being creative? Want to help teach people how to be safe in the sun? Think a trip to Disney World sounds like fun?

If you do, enter this year’s SunWise with SHADE Poster Contest! Kindergarten through eighth graders can create an original poster. The poster will help remind your friends, family, and classmates to be SunWise by wearing sunscreen, covering up, wearing sunglasses, and practicing other sun safe behaviors.

Ready to get started?  Ask your teacher to register at www.shadefoundation.org/programs/poster-contest Exit EPA Disclaimer and print out an entry form for you. This is a great contest for your whole class!

Remember to draw your poster on a sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch paper, and to show at least five of the following SunWise action steps:

Prizes include a Crayola Digital Camera Scrapbooking Kit for the top five entries in the Kindergarten through 3rd grade category, as well as additional state prizes. For the 4th-8th grade contest, the national winner will receive a family trip to Disney World. The winner’s school will also receive a WeatherBug Tracking Station that records 27 different weather measurements. We will also have additional state prizes.

So… what are you waiting for? Get those markers, pencils, and crayons out and get drawing!  Remember that your posters are due by April 7, 2010. We will announce the winner in May 2010 in Washington, DC. One last thing—GOOD LUCK! We cannot wait to see your artwork!
